Online Community Code of Conduct

I. Preamble

Women in Revenue’s online community is a space for all our members to gather to support and collaborate on topics related to women in revenue-generating roles. As part of the community and a WIR member, you agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct:

II. Updates to this Code of Conduct

Women in Revenue reserves the right to update this code of conduct at any time. When updates do occur, a message will be posted in the proper channels to notify users.

III. Expected Behavior

In short, Women in Revenue asks that all of our members follow a three-word policy: Use Good Judgment. We encourage our community to share in the following core values:

Be Humble - No thing or person is perfect; let’s create space to show up with humility and grace.
Be Empathetic - Act with compassion and respect for all.
Be Adaptable - Be curious and a lifelong learner.
Be Remarkable - Share your knowledge and don’t be afraid to be awesome!
Be Transparent - Be open and honest with others and, most importantly, yourself.
Be Self-Aware - Understand topics and issues from multiple perspectives and free yourself from assumptions and biases.

IV. Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable and will not be tolerated by any community members.

Threats of Violence - Threats of violence towards another user are not acceptable. This includes encouraging violence towards a user(s) or posting/threatening to post other people's personally identifying information (known as “Doxxing”).
Personal Attacks - There will always be times when two parties have different opinions. While this can be frustrating, this should never turn into a personal attack on someone. Attacking people for their opinions, personal beliefs, ideas, or suggestions is not acceptable. Please be professional and respectful at all times.
Derogatory/Harmful Language and Harassment - Harmful language towards a user around any of the following topics: background, family, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, age, native language, abilities, national origin, location, religion, political affiliation, or other personal attributes is not acceptable at any time.
Unwanted Solicitation of Services or Selling - To preserve the integrity and professional atmosphere of our workspace, we strictly prohibit any form of sales or solicitation. This includes, but is not limited to, offering (paid) services/engagements, or any other commercial activity. Our space is designed for collaboration, support, and knowledge exchange, and we aim to maintain an environment free from commercial pressures. In addition, please refrain from using this platform for prospecting purposes, including collecting emails and/or other personal contact details of individual members not provided proactively and directly. Violation of these guidelines may result in action to uphold community standards.
Content Contributions - When creating content for the community, whether in the form of comments, new posts, articles, etc., be mindful of this code of conduct. Also, be mindful of your audience–a large group of successful and discerning women. Put your best foot forward, and your best work forward, too. Each contribution to the community is a part of your brand.

V. Enforcement

Understand that speech and actions have consequences, and unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated. If you are the subject of, or witness to, any violations of this Code of Conduct, please message the community moderator via email at sarah@womeninrevenue.org. If violations occur, WIR will take any action it deems appropriate for the infraction, up to and including expulsion from the organization.
